Outrigger Waikiki Offers Scrapbooking Activity
Published on modernagent: October 22, 2007
The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach has partnered with a local scrapbook company to offer a Hawaii-themed scrapbook activity for guests. Creative Native Crafts, an Oahu-based scrapbook manufacturing company, specializes in island-themed scrapbooking supplies, most of which are manufactured in Hawaii. Every Thursday at 10 a.m., Creative Native Crafts conducts a one-hour scrapbooking demonstration at the hotel, which is free for registered guests. According to Creative Native Crafts, scrapbooking is the No. 1 craft hobby in the United States, generating more than $2.5
billion in annual sales. The weekly scrapbooking demonstrations may vary thematically from month-to-month. In commemoration of Arbor Day, Hawaii flowers will be the focus in November, and Christmas in Hawaii will be highlighted in December. The new scrapbooking demonstrations are part of the Outrigger Waikiki’s Kalakaua Experience, a year-round series of educational guest programs that highlight Hawaii’s cultural heritage.Aloha!
